Interesting read. Thanks for posting.
Wondering about longevity on the 60 with pushing the limits to achieve increased HP. I am sure they tested the reliability and longevity of the motors and cooling. |

There are also plenty of M60 YouTube reviews just released, embargo must be lifted.

this (however they make electric motors and electric storage) is our future ... bye bye petrol
it's not about the trees, it's so expensive at the pump! |

Well, actually it is about the trees - the 65 million year-old trees and earlier, and the ocean sludge and the various deceased saurians and their kin. That's all there is. There are no more. So when they're gone, that's it. Electricity has the unique property of being able to be manufactured from multiple other energy sources, including the before mentioned limited dead, squished and substantially modified over millions of years organic things, the (relatively) unlimited supply of solar rays, heat from the (relatively) endless supply of radioactivity in the Earth, the (relatively) endless supply of blowing wind, the chemical and physical interaction of a variety of truly eternal atoms, and flowing water generated from the endless (for practical purposes) supply of gravity. And our ability to improve the technology to extract even more from these and perhaps other as yet unknown sources.

i think once we figure out how to not dig up the ground for rare earth metals for the battery then it will be a bit better ...
it's not about the trees, the rare earth metal batteries are so expensive and so darn heavy! |

..no free lunch. Carbon footprint labels on cars? I think we'd be surprised if every part of a cars construction and hypothetical lifetime was quantified. ..then there is circularity.....

Well, rare earth metals aren't actually rare for the most part. However, there is no way around mining. Any synthesis would be far worse on the whole and more expensive. Lithium is pretty plentiful and cobalt may or may not be replaceable, although both can be fully recycled from used packs.
