Illinois E40 new order

Hello , How are orders prioritized ? So there are people who pre ordered last year, people from all different states in the US/Canada who ordered at different times.. Is it first come first served no matter which dealer/ state or is it largest volume dealers first ? or is it M50 orders first then e40.. Here in Chicago i placed order for E40 couple weeks back, got prod number in few days and now waiting in scheduled for production status. Anyone else from Chicago area waiting for really long time ? My SA says max 4 month my E40 should arrive.

Wow !. Thank you and who ever cancelled. Otherwise would have picked up Tesla M3 RWD which is a blast to drive as well but still cannot digest paying $50k for just an ipad and good battery. Rest of the car like someone said is worse than a 90's Kia..and yet folks buying in droves after being brain washed by Elon on minimalism and vegan leather when it is really just cheaping out on the build quality. Will report back when my E40 ships. Sucks that I may miss the IL EV rebate since it ends Sept 30.

Ordered mine in March in Ontario and told not to expect anything till the end of 2023 lol

I honestly think the dealers are just guessing at this point. They know you won't receive it in the next 3-6 months, but beyond that, no one seems to really know.

Just cancelled my Ontario February order, I was number 49 out of 80 in April. There are well over 100 people now.

Congrats !!! May i know which dealership you went with? I submitted my build with Bill Jacobs in March for my M50 and so far crickets !!! Im 28th on their waiting list !! Currently it appears that its the allocations that each dealership receives and how big their order bank is that matters and not first come first served. So you are lucky that ur dealership had a cancelled allocation. Im thunking getting a I4 e40 might be much quicker given the parts shortage and cancellations due to lack of PAP.

I ordered a 2023 i4 M50 from a suburban Chicago dealer 3 weeks ago. I was told that it is scheduled to go into production in early September after the shutdown. This came from the general manager. They have 24 orders ahead of me. It sounds too good to be true. We'll see.

I ordered from Bill Jacobs on February 25 with an expected July production date - but that has been delayed and no guesses in sight... plus my SA retired and now it's someone new, so i'm not really sure what to expect!

So i messaged my SA yesterday and it looks like my M50 went from 28th on the list to 13th. Dont know if people just started cancelling or they started having more allocations last month for the M50. That is some welcome news !!!

So. I just snagged a cancelation from Bill Jacobs today. Nov delivery is what was stated.

I would find an SA at every dealer in Chicagoland, and make it a weekly thing to see if anyone backed out.

Congrats. Its weird. I just emailed my SA yesterday and asked him if there were any cancellations and to look out for one and he said there were none. Maybe time to go to a different SA !!!

I took over an M50 allocation earlier this week. Got confirmation it's due for Wk 32 production.

This is best case scenario, people mentioned calling dealers for cancelled slots. You got lucky!
