Anyone else experiencing major issues with their iX?

Hi everybody!
Wondered if anyone has had issues with their iX 50 M Sport?
I got mine at the end of march and since then i've had the following:

Car wouldn't detect the keys to start(had to manually put key to steering wheel) so had to be taken in
Collected the car and my GPS was telling me I was in the completely wrong location. Had to go back in.
My Carplay will sometimes freeze when I get in the car so then I have to disconnect bluetooth. Then when I try to connect again it just says "bluetooth/wifi error" even though my phone+my bmw app says the car is connected and then no carplay works, and the radio doesn't work either!
Latest one is got in my car last week and got a drivetrain warning message!
Sales rep said they're aware of the GPS issue but not the others. Currently deciding whether to stick with the car or they've offered to refund me and have an X5M competition I can take Tuesday!

The iX is genuinely the best car i've driven and I am tempted to keep it even with its issues, that is what warranty is for right?

No problems at all, except that buzzing noise which I posted about and hasn't happened in a while. Otherwise, totally faultless, knock on wood.

I'm at 2,099 miles driven. I'm getting insane levels of per kWh efficiency too lately, well above the advertised range.

Lots of people on iX Facebook group reporting issues. I expect some issues but the 40 has been out for a while.

This coupled with all the stop sales and recalls is making me think about this choice.

Can you post a link to the group?

This is the Facebook group.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/bmw********

Very interesting group of people, almost 7k members. Some have had the iX from the beginning. Good to get others perspective.

Common theme is people are frustrated and reporting issues more then on here.

Only thing is your not hidden by fake usernames like on a forum

Not too dissimilar to the roundhouses on the new X5 forums when introduced in 2019, and the software crankiness. Some legitimate issues then, but many comments from owners barely familiar with the car, much less iD7 and the software. Seems a normal birthing process, exacerbated by the added complexity of iD8, aside from the rash of recalls as models drove out the factory door. Hopefully BMW gathers its collective Sachkenntnis and gets past this....

No real issues, other than getting a chip in the windscreen when the car had all of 250 miles. I guesstimate the full cost to replace it would be well over $3,000 (dealer quoted ~$3,400 for X5).
Loving the car so far. I may get around to post my observations of X5 vs. iX, but spoiler alert: iX > X5.

All new products have issues. Fact of life. You can thank the product management philosophy called MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to which most companies subscribe. What we are buying today is THE LEAST BMW can put out that will be acceptable. Subsequent model years will improve, but for now, this is the minimum BMW thinks it will take to get you to buy.

Being an early adopter has its pros and cons.

If there are problems, there are problems. First-year of a brand new model. The good news is with this insane market, I can still dump it for more than I paid. There is allegedly a 2yr waitlist here, my SA even said that if I didn't take delivery they'd slap on a 25% mark-up and sell it within a week.

Especially for software driven products, where the car functions are now virtually driven by softball coding. I used to work in software industry where companies have sometime released their software (vapor ware) knowing well that it is not ready, not working and have problems for some commercial/financial reasons. Overtime it will come good, but you can’t expect a perfect software products. There is no bug free software. Problems can be experienced by some users but not all as the bugs are triggered by some sequence of events. I can accept some potential minor problems overtime. I think the critical point is how the company reacted to reported problems and how fast they can resolve them.

I'm still not clear what issues exist for current iX owners being discussed in this Facebook group that are not already being discussed in this forum.

I’m unclear what issues people are referring to. I’m a member of the FB group as well, very few issues here or there posted IMO. My car has had a few wonky days (unlocks into Guest vs my profile) etc, but nothing serious in 5k miles.

100% agree. I took delivery of an x5 nov 30 2018 and sidestepped all those minor issues and had no problems in 3+ years of ownership. X7 I took delivery of following spring = same.
