Parking brake fault

Hello guys,
I need some help with an issue!!!!
2017 530e , I recently hit my brakes and i got a parking brake light on, therefore the light is orange sometimes the parking brake works and sometimes it doesnt. Light goes off and then comes back on.
Also when i press the hill hold i get a message that its not available. I went to and shop and the tech told me that the can communicate woth the car but not with the drivetrain so they can pull the code that is thrown. Tech also told me that the brakes are more than fine and that the brake sensor its not tripped. Anyone with the same issue? Please give me some ideas. Thank you guys in advance.

Just seen this, obviously this was a while ago and I trust you have resolved this, but I understand the parking brake is controlled via the DTC module. I had a parking brake failure a couple of years ago and the fault was traced back to the DTC module. It was replaced under warranty and has been fine ever since.
