Back in August, BMW M reveled that they built a testbed prototype for an future electric M sports car with four electric motors. See original press release & info at: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1947291

We now bring you a close look at this prototype!

BMW M is likely about to begin road testing of this prototype as it now wears road-legal license plates.

Potentially the first EV I’ll actually have interest in owning…will be interesting to see how this comes along and what the specs are when announced.

Seems pretty cool. Everything is headed electric, so I will just hope it rivals and ideally crushes the performance offered by Tesla, Lucid, etc while continuing their higher end interior / build quality / etc. The design language of this bad boy looks promising (to me anyway) so far as well! I will keep enjoying my twin turbo V8 but will be glad to potentially look at BMW for a high performance electric when the day comes… 😂

Pass on a quarter mile of 150mph... Too fast and stomach turning...

Give it feel, soul and make it not drive like and EV...

Plus some sort of sound

I mean the iX is truly brilliant to drive, just the feel of it for what it is. All M needs to do is bring that experience to a sports car or fast sedan car, and it’s a winner.

But they already make an EV that’s incredible, you just have to be comfortable with it being a 6000lb rolling egg.

so BMW announces new future design for the M3

From update in the Future BMW Info Thread.
There will be another special M3 model in 2024-2025, either another run of M3 CS (based on LCI2) or something similar.

What if it's a intermediate M3 (M-ev) interesting way for bmw to dip the toe into the market and get some recuperation on the EV development. All this is my $.02 / speculation based on very little research

This will be an I4M or whatever based off the I4...

So won't be a M3 ..look at the rear this could be a "grand coupe"
