What point of battery capacity loss might qualify for Warranty replacement?
I have my 2015 capacity sitting at 4.7 kwh.
Any help would be appreciated. Minsoo

I heard from the dealership below 70%. However if one cell capacity or voltage is below the rest and causing the overall capacity to be low. They will replace one cell at a time. My 2016 with less than 35k miles had an issue and was completely replaced. Along with the battery safety module and the wire harness inside the battery module.

When this test was done, my car was exactly 9 year old (production date 05 / 2014 - test run 06 / 2023). This is Scandinavia meaning rather easy climate versus Texas or Florida or such.
At least for the past 6 years my car has been regularly charged via "house hold" & public charging. Not with driving around with SPORT-mode. The SPORT-mode only charges up to 70% -> in a long term the battery will never be charged 100% or without one driving the vehicle while its charging -> the battery will degrade faster. This is what a independent "HV-battery specialty shop" said to me. They're specialized in to change / repair faulty or worn out Tesla / Toyota / Porsche / VAG / BMW full EV & hybrid car batteries. |
