2023 540i Break in/active flaps tips?
Just got my 2023 540i with all the M packages but with 19" wheels
 .anyway any break in behaviors I want to be aware of? When I leased my 19 M550i Xdrive I didnt give it too much a break in time. I had Dinan plugged in within 1000 miles and I think by 4000 miles I had it flashed by Evolve, anyway I promised myself I would take my time breaking this one in. Any tip or tricks? thanks all

Many many threads about this!
It’s in the manual at the end under care and maintenance But essentially don’t floor it, no lockdown vary load and revs Don’t go above 4500rpm or 100 mph Don’t sit at same speed revs for long time ie on motorway Avoid lots of short journeys, bedding in will occur when at temperature This is all for first 1200 miles and then gradually increase after that Frustrating I know as you’ll want to see what the performance is like but if you care about your car, worth doing |
