Slight ocd question, but does anyone know why the uk z4 is (relatively) underpowered, even the lci cars?

In most markets it seems that the b58 has the same 382 bhp as other cars such as the 340i

However the uk have to make do with only 340bhp which is significantly lower than the 374bhp in 240i and 340.
