Very cool to see a xdrive 40! The non msport is very compelling for its price point.

It’s sad to see they’re still not offering the newer and better highway assistant in MY24. The X5, X6 and some others have the 5AX highway assistance which can go up to 85mph on highway, hands free. 5AU offered in this can only do 40mph.

Ix too has the 5AX. It feels like the future driving an EV and having this option in a bmw.

The hardware is different.
The iX and others use a newer generation MobilEye processor. I think they should be able to support faster than 40MPH on 5AU. At least 65-70 should be doable.

Also sucks that for 2024 rear heated seats are available.

Not that I ever sit in the rear, but my kids do and rear heated were available in other markets in 2022 and 2023.

Is it possible to turn in a i4 '23 for a '24?

You could. But you’d probably lose around. $10K in equity. Is it worth it for a car that’s 95% the same?

What do you mean up to 40mph? What features stop working?

"Active Driving Assistant Pro includes-
Active Cruise Control w/Stop & Go, Active Lane Keeping Assistant w/side collision avoidance, Traffic Jam Assistant, Evasion Aid, & Cross-traffic alert front"

Hands off is only under 40MPH. So traffic jam hands off function stops working.

Yes, for the month of June at least the model year 24 still qualifies for the $7,500 lease credit. Place an order and have your C.A. do a rate lock for you, so in case the $7,500 is gone next month you still have the rebate locked for 90 days.

You're welcome, another exciting bit is the 24 model allows you to add M Sport package to your eDr35 as well as Shadowline package, and the very popular Brooklyn Grey exterior. Go on and get yourself a 24 before word gets out. Production begins next month

Just joined the forum and am figuring out the various postings. I ordered my i4M50 in Feb 2022 and am finally getting a production number on a 2024 model next month (Jul 2023). Seems like I have waited forever but I believe it will be worth it.

I look forward to communicating with other owners.

Ordered my i4 40xdrive

Order placed with my dealer on 8/3/23. They had a chassis allocated to them. I'm curious if anyone else has one on order and has seen any movement on the production line.
