Cargo Net

In the video below at around 1 minute mark, the guy pulls out and installs a vertical cargo net. I’ve seen a similar rolled up net in new LCI X5s in the UK. I don’t think I’ve seen neither this net nor the slots in the ceiling for it in the US versions of 2024 iX. So, is this something that’s not available in the US or something that was only available in 2022 iXs?

Not available in the US, although there is actually a slot for it in the under-floor storage space in the cargo area. There's also a storage slot in the lower part of the rear hatch (inside) for a safety triangle, also not included in US models (but available for purchase). I haven't seen the cargo net offered anywhere on this side of the pond.

I don’t see these ceiling slots in the 360 interior view of an iX in the UK configurator. It must be part of some kind of storage package similar to the luggage compartment package on a G05 X5. I don’t see anything resembling it in the UK configurator though.

It's in the German configurator (Gepäckraumtrennnetz) but I don't believe an option in the UK; possibly other countries as well. I suspect it would require a significant modification or replacement of the headliner (although the mounting points could already be there - not a simple "buy a net."):

This is what you get in the US (storage compartment slot):

And this if you purchase the warning triangle separately:

Looks like there are mounting points behind the front row seats as well. I guess it’s some kind of pet net.

Correct - it separates the cargo and passenger compartments, unlike BMW's standard "cargo net" that hooks onto floor or side wall anchor points

Right but also can be used to separate the front row seats from the rest of the interior. “Looks like there are mounting points behind the front row seats as well”

Just out of curiosity - what exactly comes with the iX in the trunk and/or trunk underfloor storage aside from the flexible fast charger with level 1 and level 2 adapters?

Correct also - if you have the second row down, that becomes cargo space, not passenger seating.

You should get a "fix-a-flat" kit with a compressor, a tow hook, the Flexible Fast charging cable with adapters, and (sometimes) a storage bag for same (occasionally omitted in some areas at some times). That's it in the US.

And the tow hook is actually in the base of the storage box for the Fix-a-Flat (underneath), so missed by many owners.

Mine has the the rear and middle hooks for the cargo net. New Zealand delivered IX, March 2022 production. There are no option codes related to cargo or storage that I can see would identify this as an option.

And surely you have the rolled up net in the underfloor storage compartment?

So, is there a part number for the cargo net (the one that attaches to the four anchors along the trunk floor) that people outside of the US get? I can’t find any nets for the iX on the BMW USA accessories website.

No floor net for the iX AFAIK, but there is a floor net for the X5 that should be close (haven't tried it on the floor but it fits - loosely - behind the rear seat vertically). Part #51479410838

I found the below trunk floor cargo net on eBay. Even though it says it’s for X5, it fits iX as well. In fact, the 4th photo from the seller shows this cargo net installed in an iX. The quality is pretty good - OEM-like if not better.
