Control display split screen mode?
I've just gotten my 2024 iX and am trying to understand all of these features. I replaced a 2013 535, which had an option that allowed a split screen view that I used (2/3s Nav and 1/3 media for example). I can't find any way to do this on the much larger screen in this vehicle. Is it possible?

Short answer, no. The "screen" is actually two separate screens - your instrument cluster and the the main screen, and the real-estate is not user-configurable other than what a particular selection dictates. You can move and delete tiles, and nav and media are already there by default for example.

I usually keep my nav on the right hand screen and media on the screen in front of me so I can see what song/podcast is playing. It’s a little bit complicated to explain how to do it, but press the gear icon on the steering wheel and select Media as the option for the drivers screen. I think that should do what you want.

Yep - both the main screen and IC are moderately configurable, but only with the selections available (dividing the main screen isn't one of them):

Thanks for the help. I did see that both Nav and Media displays were available in the Instument cluster as well as in the Control display. It just seemed that such a large display could have been segmented on demand. Oh well, old dog learning new tricks.

billoh I was curious so I also tried configuring my iX to show Nav + Media on the same screen. I was able to do both with CarPlay and the native iDrive menu. See attached photos.

Yes. You have map on the largest part of the centre screen together with a couple of tiles with other info, such as current track, or weather, time etc.
