I4 w/ X-drive
Curious how the xdrive system works for the I4 xdrive40 and M50. Is the front axle always on or only on to aid in traction when slip is noticed? Usually find this type of information in the technical training guide. Looking to nerd out a bit so any technical deep dive would be appreciated.

Just had my first snow with my new i40 xdr. It was solid through 4-5 inches. Didn’t feel any slip with regular all-season tires. I don’t have a ton of technical data, but I’m relieved at how well it performed.
