AC charge rate limited on my i4

2023 i4 35 with 11,000 KM on it, no issues until today...

Plugged in to the charger at work which normally runs at 208V 40A @ 8 kW. However, I noticed that it was only charging at 208V 16A @ 3kW. I checked the current limiter and it was set to unlimited and 40A is limited by the BMW charger (see in photo).

I initially thought it was the charging cable (original BMW one) and I swapped to another 14-50 NEMA level 2 charger, same thing.

Before I suspect the vehicle, I drove to a different site which has another 32A level 2 charger, still limited to 16A. Now I have no other clue but to think it's the vehicle itself.

Booked in with the service tmr and see what they says. Anyone else has encountered similar issues before?

At my work the L2 chargers are rated at 6.6kw but there are two cables per pedestal. If both are used, the rate is split and only get 3kw per cable.

Update, service adviser informed me that they are able to replicate the fault. Subsequent procedures determined a faulty CCU and needs to be replaced. Going to be a lengthy repair...

CCU is located between the HV batt and body of the vehicle?
