New Interior Design Package for 2025 iX M60

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Looks like a new (interior) design package for the 2025 M60 - round M Sport steering wheel, no bronze trim, among others:

Much prefer the current setup - looks like a mish-mash of parts from an X5 (and didn't see an option to change it). And I notice they didn't even put in covered control pedals like other M Sport models - same Honda plastic accelerator, brake and dead pedal. Still the traditional iX look on the iX50 looks like, but I expect either car is reaching the end of the trail....

The dark silver against Castanea looks really nice. But I need to see it in person. However, the red stripe on the round wheel doesn't look great in pictures against the Castanea dash.

I'd stand by though - some of the other pictures on the configurator are typical BMW wonky (the options photos don't match the car model, and don't show up in the Summary pics). After the dust settles my bet is that the round steering wheel stays however, and probably the dark silver vice bronze interior, although you can still option the exterior bronze trim, which now matches nothing else (Why not dark silver? Who knows?). Definitely needs a hands-on look....

Yes, standard on M60 but optional on xDrive50.

This new look looks cheap compared to the current one.

I like this and the bronze, good with options so you can match the upholstery. On the iX50 you get a black 12 o’clock stripe and not the red one. Nice to have an option not to have the odd wood insert with the clear and bold option, It is cool but looks out of place in most cases.

Wood has always been optional in the US (luxury package) and this remains an option in 2025. It does look a little out of place, but I love that it’s immune to smears and fingerprints.

THIS! I got my last iX "mainly" for wood (LOL), to avoid the darn finger prints.

Now my new i5 does not even offer wood for the center console and the fingerprints are endless! So miss the matte wood.

Sounds weird, but this was a reason among others that pushed me to iX over i5.

Honestly not weird. I use iDrive to avoid smudges and oily prints on the main screen, and the matte wood offered in the iX solves this for the center console.

i5 does not offering any center console choice... For sure BMW saving $$$ and production time!

Yes, as per the posts below in the “2025 BMW iX Order & Pricing Guides” thread. However, thread is about the New Interior Design Package.

It would have been nice if BMW had offered the "new" look as an option on the M60 (as they clearly could on the iX50). Several comments on the forum about how strangers had admired the "spaceship" look of the iX. Now it looks like an X3. Except not as good:

Love the M Sport steering wheel however I’m also a fan of the bronze. I have the bronze with M Sport on my 5. I hate they didn’t allow it to be an option here

I actually like the interior of the new 5 series to be honest.

Just needs the heating and fan controls to be returned to physical buttons and it’d be sorted
