Sometimes they do. Or they’ll have a sports seats option. I’m trying to be optimistic!

I don’t need more power but 800 v architecture would be awesome (for DCFC charging speed) as would another 50 miles of real range. Also…please add a factory hitch option…for goodness sake’s!

The hitch, that's on BMWNA. BMW offers the hitch in other parts of the world. BMWNA did the same thing with the X5 and eventually they offered the hitch but without the kick to open feature.

I still don't like the light signature on this facelift. I think it's fine and good on the NK prototype, but doesn't need to be shoehorned in to this light fixture IMO.

That’s what LCIs are. To get those who want the latest to have the “latest” without BMW have to spend a lot.
We’ll have to wait to see what changes happen under the hood. I hope those will be greater than the cosmetic.

Don't forget that the grill will be lighted too. Oh, and bigger motors - the LCI will probably be a sub-3 second 0-60 car.
And BMW usually changes the headlight and taillight styling in an LCI, so curious what they do there.

BMW "iX" should had been a version of the X5! That is,...it's underpinnings should have been in the chassis of a G05,...and BMW gradually phased the "iX" into existence! But No! They had to come up with an entirely difference design,...of which X5 owners as a whole don't approve of. I say this because many X5 owners did not leave the X5 design and choose an iX.

BEVs give designers and engineers the freedom to do almost anything in the layout of the car. ICEV is just one massive compromise around just about every element of the structure. Take that crap off the table, and the result is far better than what could be possible in a shared platform. That said, the next gen X5/iX5 will be the platform to replace the iX. So, BMW's quest is to produce a BEV that is not loaded with the poor design compromises we see in today's converted BEV cars.
