Nice! I have those wheels as well I guess (21 inch?), I asked them to paint them completely black without realizing that the company would not do plastic so I bailed out … maybe I should just remove them.

Did you have the option to wrap the black gloss? I wonder how a white out IX would look. I’m not a fan of gloss black on BMW trim pieces- much prefer matte or painted color of car…

I’ve had a loaner iX on a couple occasions and can attest it is a fantastic EV.

Much better quality than the cheap Tesla. Sound system was the best that I ever heard. Bass was unreal.

Too early for me to go EV, but the autonomous driving was awesome. Great for daily bumper to bumper commutes.

It’s also great for long highway cruising road trips.

Sorry, these wheels add zero value to improving the aesthetics of the iX! They do not stand out in design, color, or style!

Nice job!

It's very cool with the 21' Aero wheels, you get sort of two styles in one, and if you want to go back to the inserts, nothing has to be done.

I don't get black wheels. You can have the coolest wheels but once painted black they disappear. Might as well use 17" steel wheels you can't tell the difference.

Does the plastic just pop right out? I can’t stand these wheels on mine but would prefer this look to stock.

I believe there are screws on the inside that have to be removed. My guys shop did it all...

Yeah, there's two fasteners for each insert (or maybe one fastener and one guide pin?), easily seen in the attachment (removed from the rear).

Also, there are two flavors of the 21" wheel, there's the one attached, and there's an optional black/gray version that when you remove the aero inserts, you're not left with the bright silver lip segments.

Sorry to say but you cheapened the look of your iX. Black wheels look inexpensive and generic. You also could have ordered it in white and not have to spend thousands more on a wrap that makes the car have a stock (non-premium) color. All the wrong moves, I'm afraid.

I like the white... Looks great. I just wish you had panted the whole car white so we can see what it would look like.

I hate the black bottom trim on all of the ix models. Why did BMW choose that design approach? I think it cheapens the whole car regardless of the wheel styles chosen. I sincerely hope the refresh that is in the works offers the car in full color. That issue along with only one color leather option (a rather bold one at that) are the reasons I haven't upgraded to the iX.

Yes I know I'm superficial but come on BMW, it is a $100k car!

Have you noticed a difference in range at all? I have long considered taking out those plastic inserts as well.

Do you not think a simple “IMHO” might have been less rude?

Sure, you might not like it but obviously the OP did, and their opinion is as valid as yours. Plus it’s their money to spend as they will.

I personally have the stock all Black 21” on my iX, and think they look perfect, and best with the ‘aero’ inserts in.

Btw: the wrap is matte, and BMW does not sell the iX in a matte White colour.

Couldn't agree more with this.... never understood the people that come to bash on the forums. I put it up for myself and the people that may enjoy it. if not, keep it moving...

as for the guy asking about range, I've noticed no difference at all so far, but if it was any, I would have to assume it would be very minimal.
