Scary.
Hope everyone was uninjured. The Information in the article regarding the BMW i8 recall was inaccurate. I own an i8 roadster. There has not been a recall notice since I've owned the vehicle and I also verified that with my BMW dealership. Very unfortunate but apparently an isolated incident. |

it seems there have been some recalls regarding battery https://www.cars.com/research/bmw-i8/recalls/
I don't know how accurate is this information, hopefully it's isolated incident |

Thanks for this information.
It appears that the only recall pertaining to potential fire risk has to do with the capacitors within the TurboCharger cord that is used to charge the i8. Good info. |
