Anyone else having issues with timeslot charging their iX. Eg tonight I had set to charge at 23.30 to 6:30an with daily departure set to 6:30am and yet it hasn’t started charging and it’s going past midnight

There's quite a few reporting it since the 07/2024.xx software release.

On the other forum, there is a thread running to 9 pages about it. "2022 BMW iX xdrive 50 time slot charging issue after 07/2024.30 update"

From personal experience the 7/2024.50 release seems much better with time slot charging. This is a dealer release though!
I say much better, as I can’t confirm the issue is 100% fixed after just a handful of scheduled time slot charging sesions during the night.

A handful or successful sessions seems to be a marked improvement over what the others are experiencing...

I’ve tried time slot charging twice since the update. Normally when I plug in during time slot charging, the car will charge for about 30 seconds and the shut off and restart at the beginning of the time slot. The first time I tried, it continued to charge and I shut it off manually after 3 minutes, assuming time slot was not working. The next time I gave it a try I let it run…it shut off after 5 minutes and then restarted at the time slot. Perhaps it’s working, just differently. Don’t know….

Yeah so far on .50 I've only had it fail to stay in the time slot on me once in the past probably 20 some charges.

I've found that my iX ignores all time slots (in all versions of software) if there is less than 3% difference between current SOC and setpoint. If I pull up with 48% and set to charge to 50%, it charges immediately regardless of time slot settings. This aspect, anyway, appears to be intentional.

Mine worked ok 2 times a couple of weeks ago or so I thought. Didn’t work last night and I forgot to check after the time slot started.

Hasn’t worked in the last week. Ford had its problems but certain things they fixed quicker than BMW is able to.

They have to get the Kaiser to sign off and it takes a few days.
