Best way to clean leaves from the cowl area?
Leaves and other debris keep accumulating in the gap between my hood and windshield. I've tried reaching in, but the space is too tight for my hands. What's the best way to clean this area?

If you reach under the dash on the extreme left and rights sides, there will be a cable loop to pull. This will release the hood....Might want to buy some hood pins..since BMW does not provide any type of holder....or you can use a small screwdriver....there are holes to put it through on the hinge to hold it up...

Shop vac with a long enough hose to reach? Or broom/brush that's long enough to reach and sweep toward you?

Best way is to open the hood and use hood pins (BMW/MINI part number 83-30-5-A3C-D29) to hold up the hood as CLLACAB mentioned. Also, it is recommended to tape the A-pillars with masking tape as the hood comes very close to them when opened and they might get scratched if you don't open the hood evenly from both sides.
