Looking for tires for next season. Quick google search found little in the way of not discountinued options. Anyone have any luck?

If you plan to keep the car long term then I think wheels and tires are the way to go saves you a lot of hassle and to be honest will allow you to get better snow performance than trying to slap some low profile 20's on there. And they don't take up more space with or without rims to store. Easiest thing to do is tire rack, they take the guess work out for you and will send you 4 wheels balanced with the correct tpms ready to mount. I still have my original winter wheels from my g01 x3 that luckily fit my x40. The m50 brakes provide less clearance so you will have some limiting factors. I have used Michelin x ice snow with amazing results and very minimal impact on range no issues driving through Vermont, Berkshires and upstate NY/new England when we have weather she climbs like a mountain goat. A lot of ppl say blizzak but I think that's more marketing than anything... Nokian is another brand I would consider trying but you need to seek them out and I was limited on sizes due to recycling my g01 rims. Happy hunting

Thanks for the responses. I am leasing the car, so I’d rather not get wheels too… but it seems like that’s the only option with the 20” wheel and tire upgrade I guess.
I currently have a X3Mc with 21” wheels, and I had no problem swapping out winters on those rims. |
