I prefer the aesthetics of the new grill to mine. Nice other little changes too. And, still happy with my 2024.

I am curious if the glass of the 2026 is really that clear, instead of the milky opaqueness of the 22-25 models.

Would be nice to have an M70 with the available trailer hitch. Could be a nice all-around daily driver.

Needs smaller wheel options that're available in black. They needlessly got rid of the aero dark black 21" wheels. Aero bi-color needs to go. Also needs to switch from Sensatec to Sensafin, which is worlds more comfortable/premium-feeling. I was hoping that'd happen.

I refuse to get one of these with 22" (or, are you f***ing kidding, 23") wheels.

I'm seriously hoping they address these issues for the 2027-28 model year, otherwise I might be switching to whatever next best alternative exists.

They did a great job on that refresh. I think it looks great compared to the previous model.

20s are standard on the 45/60.

For a long time, premium wheels for gas cars were bigger and where they invested their styling efforts. IMHO, they made the smallest wheels plain enough to encourage folks to upgrade.

BEVs flipped the script, and the legacy automakers are still playing off the old rule book. BEV folks want options smaller, more efficient wheels. BMW's 20" iX wheels are ugly. I would happily pay premium $$$ for 20" wheels that look awesome and delivery efficiency.

Does every BMW now have its own DRL's with any iteration on the "4 distinct lights"?

Happened to see another iX today (rare), and it had the 20" wheels. Yeah, those are ugly...

Apparently narrower but taller tires are most efficient for EVs. That’s why the i3 had such narrow profile 19” wheels. It also had a terrible ride. At least when I test drove one in 2015.

So the 23s could be efficient…

Weight plays a major factor as well. So heavier (larger diameter) wheels have worse efficiency than equivalent smaller diameter wheels.

The i3 wheels may have had lower aerodynamic losses, but I wonder if the narrower profile had higher contact rolling resistance losses. On bicycles, wider tires have lower rolling resistance than narrower tires (except on very smooth surfaces, like velodromes).

I like my 22” wheels, they look incredible. To each their own. Does BMW not offer smaller than 20” for the iX?

Nothing smaller than 20" on the base, 21" on the M60/M70. 22" optional and, soon, 23" optional as well.

23? Sheesh. Ride quality is a bit compromised on 22” already.
