Assembly always goes by in a flash, compared to waiting for the car to be loaded on a ship, then make way to the different ports. I do like that once it hits the locks at Panama canal you can take a screen grab of the ship. Canal set up webcams for people to watch the ships go through the locks

It was in 2022 so it took while. About 3 months after the car exited factory. In the past for other ordered cars (before Covid), it would typically take 8 weeks (to land at the dealership)

Umm no, you can get the name of the ship your car is on from the sales person. After that you can use freely available tracking websites to see when it enters the docks at Panama.

Now you can call BMW for the name of the boat and track it through Marine Traffic or another website.

Unfortunately, there is no word yet. My car just passed the halfway point of the Atlantic, heading towards the Panama Canal.

Yup this is where you lose track, literally. Unless you pay to subscribe to the pay services. You should be able to track is on and off as it comes close to shore. Sometimes it stop off in Halifax or other US ports. Other times it will stop off at Mexican ports, etc. Usually after that you can track it all the way to and through the canal and up the west coast.
