Front design isn't as bad as I thought it would look like without the camo. Not my cup of tea, and THANKFULLY BMW will preserve the V8 based on US demand.
To clarify, I understand this isn't a V8 or an X5. Im just glad BMW will still offer gas models. Last edited by 1Percenter; 02-12-2025 at 09:38 AM.. |

The front end does not look better imo, but it’s worth overlooking

And it’s an excellent electric vehicle.
Probably the best in the market. Last edited by ghaffari46; 02-12-2025 at 02:18 PM.. |

Yes. Thankfully BMW will do its part to make sure people can continue spewing CO2 in the atmosphere of a warming planet for decades to come. So proud. 🥲

Agreed. I have one and love it. Air suspension and rear axle steering are must have options IMO. It’s one of the best all around vehicles BMW makes (and I’ve had 6 BMWs over the last 25 years, including two M cars).

We currently have an i3s BEV (owned) and a Polestar 2 (leased). We have been considering what vehicle made the most sense and while the iX was already on the list, I didn’t love the black bits all across the pre-LCI models. I suspect the m70 will be next for us, it looks great, has perfect range, and is priced right. We will probably lease until the nextgen of BMW EVs are available, but this looks like it will be perfect.

When is your lease up? iX3 is out in 2026 (US).

I like my iX front end as it is, but I still look past it a bit; not sure they fixed it but rather drew more attention to it. It’s just OK for me.

I found the presenters really odd, almost like AI deepfakes speaking. The lady wasn’t too bad but the guy was difficult to listen too. The redesign itself looks good though, I like the changes.

The minor cosmetic changes are positive but the IX is not especially gorgeous (IMHO), but I like it because it drives so well. The additional range and efficiency is a huge positive

I like the xDrive60 revised “grille” much better than the original beaver teeth. Absolutely love the vehicle except the looks which I think I tolerate. Have a leased xDrive50 ending in 2026 and was thinking to buy out, but this changes the calculus a bit.
I was going to post an open question about decontenting to get an idea of what corners BMW will cut on this refresh (is this LCI2?), but they already gave one answer. They’re only going to provide a single key fob now??? Come on. Digital Key Plus has been so glitchy for us that it’s not something we risk relying on fully. At any rate, lets see what else they try to sneak past to make a few more $$$. 🙄 Last edited by anakha; 02-18-2025 at 10:31 AM.. |
