My car is from Japan. Is it possible to download and update maps for my region (Caribbean)?

Not on your own. Would almost certainly require some sort of dealer intervention.

It used to be possible on previous iDrive versions IIRC, but as above, most likely requires a BMW tweak to MyGarage, if that's even an option, depending on region. You might call the i Hotline on your app for your area and ask....

Per the other threads, you almost certainly need to have the dealer re-code the car for your Caribbean region. The car thinks it belongs in Japan and is provisioned for all the digital services associated with that region.
