Rate my Lease IX and I4 please

Hi! I just bought the bmw ix 2025 xdrive 50 and and bmw i4 edrive40. Lease details are:

BMW IX:
94K msrp
4k down
12K miles
36mo
$680/mo

BMW I4:
62K MSRP
4k down
10k miles
36mo
$440/mo

Would greatly appreciate any insights, feedback, or thoughts on how I did in this negotiation. First time handling the negotiation for a BMW.

A good rule of thumb is to get your effective monthly payment down beneath 1% of MSRP. So a $94K iX, with $4K down, gives you an effective monthly cost of $791. That's less than 1%. Very very good!!

For comparison sake a $94K Tesla would lease for about $1,800/month, so it's roughly 2% of MSRP. The BMW EV lease deals are unbeatable!!

That's a great lease. I like to look at % of MSRP that total lease. You are at 30%, so that is excellent. The other popular metric is Lease HACKR's score, which # years that it would take to pay MSRP. Their baseline for a good deal is 10. It is essentially lease payment (with amortized cap reduction) divided into MSRP, and then divide that by 12. It is similar to the 1% benchmark above, just expressed differently.

Point of note: Tesla is advertising a $1,148 lease for a $94K plaid with $7,500 down. That works out to an effective $1,400/month, or around 1.4% of MSRP. Teslas do not lease well, with a LeaseHACKR score of 5.6 on the Plaid as an example. But your score of 9.9 is very good - the iX is killing it for consumer value.

It is a lease, right (because you said you "bought" these)? I hope the $4k down is not a cap cost reduction which you really want to avoid doing on a lease (many reasons for this - research online). You also didn't provide a ton of details - what % did you get off MSRP before any lease incentives, etc.? What MF did you get?
