iX LCI Parking assist - European spec

Hi,

I'm considering getting an iX xDrive45, but I'm somewhat confused by the the specs for the parking assistants.

For other BMW's, the parking options (in europe, at least) seem to go something like:
- Parking Assistant (rear view camera, sensors)
- Parking Assistant Plus (adds front camera, 360 degree view)
- Parking Assistant Pro (adds app-controlled parking, "route replay")

Now, I'd really like the 360 degree camera - but the iX seems to jump straight from the basic level (standard trim) to Professional - only that option doesn't come standalone, it requires the Innovation package, which clocks in at €6.000 (in Denmark, we have weird taxes). So my question is - does anyone know if this is correctly described, or does the base "Parking Assistant" option on the iX contain the front camera/360 view?

Unfortunately, you seem to be correct. Sadly, that's a dealbreaker for me too. I'm actually scheduled to take delivery of the car in 7 days... Can’t believe I missed that detail.

I’ll be calling my dealer tomorrow to see if they can sell the car to someone else instead.

I’ve attached a few images from listings showing cars with and without Parking Assistant Plus. It doesn’t even have the equivalent of the basic 270° surround view I had on my 2017 F36.
Disappointing to say the least.

Sorry to hear that, that's a real bummer!

Please let me know if you get any response from the dealer around the reasoning for this - it seems a bit strange. I would suspect the "plus" package is the most attractive package for the majority of buyers.

And you are right, the base functionality here is also what I have on my 2018 3-series. Not impressive for a 2025 supposed flagship vehicle.

I spoke to my dealer today, but he couldn’t really explain why BMW decided to remove the “Plus” package. It does seem strange, especially since it’s included in the Comfort Package in the North American ordering guide. I also checked the German configurator and couldn’t find it there either.

That said, he’s sorting it out for me — they’ll take back the car I was supposed to pick up next week, and I’ve now placed an order for a new one instead. Estimated production is week 22.

Given how the packages are structured — and the spec I had already — the most sensible option was to go “all in” and choose what’s called the “Supercharged Edition” here in Sweden. It’s a bit more expensive than just adding the Innovation Package, but it also includes Bowers & Wilkins, the panoramic glass roof, and soft-close doors — so I went with that.

But I guess the saying goes: with expensive cars come even more expensive options.

You will love the B&W more than anything else. That packaging was a gift…

Thanks - good to hear you got it sorted!

I'll need to go have a chat with my sales rep, seems we don't get the same number of packages that you get in Sweden.
