Apple CarPlay Ultra
OMG, it really is a well though out system, integration with physical buttons and a hybrid system so if your phone is not connected yet items like the cluster with info are still being displayed in the CarPlay team manufactures can also show info besides AppleCarplay really cool

BMW so far has refused to sign on. Quite a departure from the past where they were usually the first and even exclusive launch partner for Apple features in cars.

The big corporations are going to do what is best for them, not their customers. Because the big corporations feel entitled to their sales and our money without consideration for what we want. Vehicle manufacturers no longer make money on just the car. They now make money selling data about your driving habits, store locations to where you travel, and what features/functions you utilize in the vehicle. Some will even monitor your driving and give you a score. And then sell that information to clearinghouses who then supply that info to your car insurer so they can jack up your rates.
The only way to change corporate behavior is by changing what we buy and who we buy it from. |
