Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este

Can anyone share some general information about transportation and lodging choices to attend the Concorso? I'll be looking at 2026. Thanks for any help!!

Have you tried staying at the hotel itself - Villa d’Este? If not, maybe try a hotel on the other side of the lake and take the ferry down (hourly). Ritz Carlton Bellagio will be open in ‘26 I believe. Coming from the States, you’d most likely fly into Milan/MXP.

Renting a car in the Como region is a NIGHTMARE. Trains/taxis(or hotel car service)/ferries/bikes the best option.

I checked on rooms at Villa D'Este for the second half of May 2026. None available, or at least that what their website shows. If they were available, the least expensive are ~$1500/night. Doable, if just for the ambience.
We'd be flying from Paris, but returning to the states from Milan.
Looks like access to the cars at the Villa Erba is available for a period on Saturday and Sunday very inexpensively, but access to the Villa D'Este on Saturday is about $650 for most of the day. You could also be a "FRIEND OF THE CONCORSO" for about $12K. I may be mistaken, but it looks like it includes three nights lodging, and possibly other amenities. There's a waiting list for this year's Concorso.
Ferry dock is at Villa Erba.

It is pricy - on any day. But quite the experience. The ferry dock is about a 10 min easy walk from downtown to the hotel…Bellagio and some other towns on the lake have far more lodging options, but then you’d be dealing with the ferry schedule..
Good luck with the planning if you do it.

Garage List
If you go there by car... go early!
Official parkingspace is very limited...
I was there last year, i went for 09:00 am, but that was already too late.
I spent the night in Lugano, Switzerland. Its a 30 Min. drive from there.
Otherwise a very nice event!
