TPMS + BMW app= excellent
It is amusing, yet frustrating how BMW Service Centers always set the tire pressure wrong when delivering or servicing a car.
I checked my new '26 yesterday and all 4 tires were wrong, with the fronts being the worse. My 23" Individuals need 39psi in the front the 46" in the rear. The dealer had the fronts set to 52psi, instead of 39psi ![]() Anyway, I adjusted all 4 tires and figured I would have to drive, or at least start my iX for the TPMS to re-set. I checked my app a few hours later, and the car sent the correct readings to my BMW app. Wow, that is impressive. I never drove, moved or turned my car "on". Seems BMW is getting better-ish with some software? ![]() |

52psi? Not sure what tires you have but that's above the maximum PSI shown on the sidewall of my Michelin's - that's a pretty egregious error IMO.

I let my dealer know, and that they delivered the car to me missing 90% of the windshield washer fluid! Car was beyond clean, detailed and looked perfect...but I would have rather had correct tire psi and washer fluid filled than a perfect caranuba wax job ![]() |

I can truthfully say that never in my history of ownership of BMWs has the dealer ever inflated the tires to the correct pressure. Ever. Any dealer. It must be a dealer thing. They are universally however, meticulous at applying paint swirls in the wash bay. #1 on the dealer checklist taking it in is "Do not wash." #1 on picking it up is "Check tires."

+Yes, really mind boggling. I had a similar experience at Discount Tire. As I was pulling out of the parking light, the low pressure light came on. After I had them do it corre3ctly, I asked them if they can't get tire pressures right, how can I have confidence that they got lug nut toque correct. They ddouble dchecked those for me and, lo and behold, it was correct.

I now stick a sticky not on the steering wheel saying DO NOT WASH. One on the dash facing the windshield, one over the gear change level and a final one taped like a flap over the door opening button.
They never washed it ever since ![]() |

Same. Every time. Tire pressures are incorrect. Is it so hard to read the door jamb?
