Battery SOC screen. New?

Don’t think I have ever seen this before, or maybe I have never looked. Saw this this morning.

First, how do you access this? Second, did you already put 10,000 miles on your new iX? Didn’t you just get it???

What does “Last updated: 10178 mi” mean? Is it miles? Which menu item is this screen under? It was not there up until iDrive version 11/2024. So, it’s either new for 03/2025 or something introduced for LCI. Can anyone else with pre-LCI 03/2025 check?

I have no idea what the 10178 mileage thing is.

I have had my '26 iX for 7 days, LOL. Currently have 189 miles!!

I found this under LIVE VEHICLE on the iDrive screen. Vehicle Status, Battery Condition.

Yes, that’s where I thought it should be. “Battery temperature” was added there since 07/2024. I assume “Battery condition” was added in 03/2025. Can some one who installed 03/2025 on their pre-LCI check if you have it? If not, then it’s something exclusive to the LCI.

Thanks for checking. I started typing my post before I saw yours. I guess BMW must’ve added additional hardware for the LCI to support this new “Battery condition” feature.

Here’s the equivalent view in my iX which looks slightly different but I believe may be entirely new given my car just updated to the 3/25 software release. This view is in the vehicle status menu.
(2025 iX M60)
(Battery “condition”, unfortunately does not seem to appear for me).

Same menu items as in 07/2024 and 11/2024. As I mentioned above already, “Battery condition” is something that seems to be in LCI only.

That’s very cool - unfortunately that seems to be iX specific for now. Hopefully they’ll roll it to other models next time (if it turns out to be in any way accurate - that mileage thing is odd)

I thought as well that those might be minutes but “mi” is used to denote miles. “min.” is sometimes used for minutes. And who in their right mind would show total lifetime minutes of battery usage to the driver?

Think we need to wait for deutsch100 to take another picture in a day or two, noting the difference in both mileage, duration & displayed figure...

Let us know the new “mi” value in a couple days and note the time difference between the screenshot you posted with 10178 mi and the new one.

Ok, so now “concerned” or at least confused a wee bit. I’ve driven my car 3x since the first pic was taken and the “mi” or minutes have not changed :-0

Either a bug for the new feature, or once you hit 10178, it'll start moving again.
