After missing the fun I had with my previous iX’s, I ordered a new one after seeing the options guiding for the LCi.

Now I received the new one, but it’s missing a couple of features I really would like to have.

Anyone with the new LCi who got the interior camera or garage opener?

PS: the white one is my neighbor’s car

What do you mean missing? If it's not supposed to be in your car based on the options in your country, then it's not really missing. During the supply chain issue times (mostly around 2020-2022) BMW used to delete certain feature which was clearly noted in your delivery paperwork and a credit was applied to the purchase price. I don't believe there are any deletion for the LCI iX.

My 2026 LCI has interior camera and integrated garage door opener. Works great!

My 22, 23 and 25 also had both!

I started my iX-journey with a iX40, this had it all.
Then I moved on to an iX M60, here it was missing the interior camera.

So when ordering my new car, I tood my salesman to order all possible options, and that the options interior camera and an integrated garage door opener was important for me.

Then I showed him the attached document, and he responded that «I’m sure this is included».

I did not get any contract prior to the delivery day. I did not get any updated, other than the phonecall «your car is ready for pick up next week.»

Then, when picking up the car, it did not have any of these (for me) important options.

So I’m not satisfied at all, and considering never to buy a car from them ever again.

That’s a US order guide. You’re in the Netherlands, right?

Refuse delivery and make them re-order it.

That document you posted is for the US. It seems you’re in Europe which can have totally different options and packages. Did you not get a build sheet from the dealer ahead of time? They definitely should’ve shared that with you.

Now it’s here, I’ve taken delivery of it and I signed the delivery documents as the seller claimed no LCi-cars would get these two options (interior camera and integrated garage opener).

So now I’m quite pissed on myself for trusting the words of the salesman…

Make sure you get the order guides, etc for your area. The ones you have from BMW of North America mean nothing in your area. The LCI definitely still has these features, but how you obtain them in your area might be different versus other areas. Never trust a dealer. Well, trust but verify….

I’ve purchased too many cars from this dealer to let this one go…

I’ve never purchased a new car without any contract, any total amount to be paid or a reference number. So lesson learned, don’t trust anyone!

Totally understand you are upset, but if you ordered in Norway and took delivery in Norway....it's not reasonable to post BMW USA incl. features and options!

It might not be your dealer's fault or doing. You need to see what BMW Norway includes and does not include with certain packages/options and what is not included, or even offered with the 2026 LCI.

In all honestly, the garage door opener is really nice to have, but our Porsche will absolutely not program with our home garage or front gate....so we just use a clicker. Pretty easy.

And the interior camera...would not care if mine did not have it. Exterior cameras are important and a great safety feature. Interior camera...good to have, but to me so not needed.

You can do a voice command “take a selfie” if you want to get a picture of yourself. A break in will trigger automatic interior and exterior photos.

I have one in my iX50, not in the M60. Probably used it twice since I've had it - once to see if it worked, and once during a repair by the dealer. The "selfie" idea was a bust - $100k BMW buyers are not huge selfie-takers I suspect, at least more than once....

It responds to the command to take a photograph by taking about 32 minutes to activate and then take a photograph. It's one of the stupidest options I've ever seen in any car. Even if it worked perfectly, I'm not sure what I'd use it for.

To the OP: it's totally not worth getting mad about this. The garage door opener, on the other hand, is worth seeing if they'll at least retrofit!

My grandson loves the interior camera and all the software features in the iX. I do not know how he figured out all the menus with no training. I guess being 10 years old helps 😀
