Hi,

I'm considering updating my HU from NBT to NBT EVO as the current hdd seems to be quiting. I've found some sites selling precoded HU's. But can I somehow be sure or confirm that the sellers NBT EVO HU will fit in my car, considering the other equipment or if I need to change other things as well, for example the screen or the idrive or any cables between? Are there older NBT EVO HU hardware that I should keep away from? VIN is WBAKS210200N37821.

Also, will there be problems when I later visit my local workshop for service and they try to update the HU? What about my current app connection?

My X5 is from 04/2015 so just before the EVO. I'm in it for the CarPlay functionality, but are there any other major benefits with a later idrive version or will it just be wierd when I sell the car that I have a newer system?
