I bought one off ebay years ago. It's real carbon fiber and was a fraction of the price, it's held up well and looks new.

I actually prefer carbon plate mounts like this. Cleaner but still see the carbon border and not overpriced relative to a frame. Also FWIW, if any part of the frame even remotely blocks a part of the plate, you can get ticketed in most states. I got one years ago because the bottom middle of the frame was raised and it partially covered “Garden State”.

I bought ones on Amazon that are not real.carbon and have only.lastes about a year and a half in the FL sun. On the plus side, they were 2 for like $15 or so and so I can switch to the spare.
