iX45 range is great
288 projected miles at 80% soc, is about 360 miles at 100%
This 45 has is exceeding all wants, wishes and expectations. After two iX50 and an M60…I’m completely happy & satisfied 😀👍🏼 |

The previous version sold here and in Europe was gimped by a smaller battery. Glad to see they realised that was not the best approach and although they still don't offer the same one as in the more powerful variants, it is at least very close and thus gives you very good useable range.

And that's on the 23" Ferris wheels!
I'm with you man. The m60 has more power than I'd ever need. I *NEVER* drive it in sport mode, so I'm not even unlocking those extra 80 HP. BMW really screwed up with the electrochromic glass roof. Not that I mind a panoramic sunroof, but the one in the iX has an electric buzz that they've never been able to fix despite the service bulletin. It's needlessly complex and completely, completely irresponsibly designed. It shouldn't cost 5 figures to fix it if it gets a crack. A normal panoramic sunroof like in the X5 would be perfect. Absent that, if I were buying today, I'd get exactly what you got, but with the 21" wheels (I think the stopping distance is just too poor with the 20" wheels/235mm tires after living with them for a year). It makes me consider just giving up on the car once my lease is done and moving on to something else. Last edited by drbluedevil; Yesterday at 07:36 AM.. |

![]() The iX glass roof might be the "best" out there to try and keep heat out, but it still gets HOT, and the 5 figure repair cost is insane! I was lucky to never have the buzz, but I know people who had/have it. The solid roof in my new 45 is amazing!!! The 23" wheels look beyond hot and gorgeous and with air suspension, the ride is silky smooth and imperfections are just absorbed. The 23" + air suspension is as smooth as 20, 21 or 22" wheels (I have driven them all). |

Bentley Mulsanne...below a Phantom for ride quality, but still sublime. I loved mine. Sad Bentley retired the Mulsanne; it was very special. iX50 with air suspension and 20" wheels is on par with the silky smooth Range Rover for sure! I do not personally like the look with 20" wheels, but the ride quality is a 9/10!!! |
