BlackVue DR400G-HD II - Long term?

I've had it for 6 months now, last week I noticed "cloudy" video. I thought my windshield got slimed since finished final install. Cleaned it thoroughly and checked the BlackVue lens. Looks crystal clear. But image is still cloudy.

Couldnt find this original thread where others purchased via Massdrop and discussed. Wiped out my post count too, not that it was impressive, but was over 20 or something.

It had a lot of good install and other info, too bad it got deleted for some reason. Last post was March.

Last time I recalled downloading video was after a big ice storm up north in late April. Nothing remarkable has happened since. So no need to review data. Although a few weeks ago, it was rebooting over and over on drive home, so I did a format.

Anyone else have any odd experiences like this?

Contacted MassDrop this morn, they said ship it back and they will ship new one upon reciept. So that would mean 6-8 weeks, based on last shipping without my camera. I've asked if they will do an RMA type return if I provide a deposit credit card.
