Looks good for a hybrid! It is a very promising looking chassis. Super-light & great aero numbers. Hopefully they put a true M engine in it (hoping for first diesel M

With all due respect to the BMW team working on this car, the overall design just doesn't grab me. I am in the target demographic, according to BMW press. I have followed the development of this car, and am certainly enthusiastic and impressed with its propulsion design. Visually, it just lacks pizazz.
I decided to go with the R8, principally because visually it is such a gorgeous car. I realize that its propulsion system is in a completely different category, but that is of secondary importance to me. When buying a car in this price range, it must have killer looks, IMO. |

Having said that, the R8's proportions in profile are awful IMO, and the blade really only works in certain colour combo's. Nice detailing though, I guess we'll have to wait for the i8's full unveiling to see how well executed the details are on it. |

..Interesting.. I look forward to seeing this in monochromatic form in the 'flesh' .. gives quite a different feel without the electric blue over black over silver depth enhancement treatment...
