Yeah some people never even heard of Knorr...also German. Our country is a melting pot of folks who don't know much about much. I mean this know it all wise-a$$ in the office goes, "You know that car you're getting is really made by Toyota, their luxury division?" Yeah, right, whatever, made by Toyota. Tell me another one

Well the intermittent wipers on my beater stopped working, so I had to constantly turn off my wipers, then turn them on, over and over. It was so 1990's. I was ready to call Uber and just leave the car on the side of the road, but there was too much stuff inside that I need it would have taken 20 min. to move it over to the Uber (I am donating this car soon)...

According to those credit card FICO reporters, my credit score went down.
Reason? I am not using enough of my credit cards. "Lenders feel that people who use their revolving credit lines frequently are less risky borrowers." |

I was mildly "unfriendly" to a tax guy at an online sales company today because I thought his reply to my question about why I got nailed for 10.25% sales tax for something purchased online when the state sales tax here is 6.25% was bullshit. He claimed because his company is in Chicago that I have to pay Chicago sales tax even though I'm way down state where the tax rate is lower. I've always thought you pay the tax rate where you live, not where the company is. In most cases, that's true. But if you and the company HQ are in the same state, you pay the tax rate of wherever the company is located. Since the company is based in Chicago, I got nailed. Just glad I don't live up there and pay that all the time. Zoiks.
So now I feel mildly guilty for telling him I thought it was bullshit, when he was actually right. Doh!!! Need to go do penance. I'll walk to the Verizon store to get my iPhone 7 instead of driving. That'll be penance enough.

Then I went across the street to a place that has decent fishy sammiches figuring at least I'd have a good sammich for lunch. But noooooo, it was packed with kids from the local high school. So no phone, and no fishy sammich. Karma is a bitch. Should have been nicer to the tax guy this morning.

Things are looking up. 15 minutes on the phone with VZW and I have a new iPhone 7 on the way and a free upgrade to a 10GB plan. Not a peep about $735 or whatever the dufus in the store was talking about.

I've had the same types of issues with Sprint. I see a phone online, but when I went to the store to pick it up they say they are different parts of the company and can't see each other's prices, can't give the same deal. WTF???
But, I never get a fishy sammich afterwards. Maybe I need to switch to Verizon? Although, In-N-Out right next to Sprint. FWP, indeed! |

What’s your first world problem?
So, we're in a BMW forum and most of the issues described are not critical.
But just for fun, please describe your "First World Problem." The more trivial the better! I'll start. 1. My vehicle only has front heated/cooled seats but only heated seats in the back. 2. My robot vacuum only has 100 minutes of battery life so it has to go back to recharge and come back to finish cleaning. 3. My heated steering wheel only has one setting. |

I live in a mid rise so I have valet trash pickup, but I have to have it outside my door no earlier than 11 pm but not later than 8 am or I have to actually carry it down the hall and put it in a trash chute like a peasant.

I have to wheel mine to the curb but only after 8pm and the garbage truck driver doesn't even get out of the cab, he just actives the robot arm and pick the pails up. |

My ‘fancy’ car refuses to accept gas from the pump unless you hold the nozzle a certain way.
so i stand outside in the rain holding the nozzle the entire time, while everyone else in normal cars sits inside nice and dry with their pumps on auto...playing with their phones and scoffing at me. |

I have to play car tetris everytime I want to wash cars because I have too many cars and too little driveway... even though I have one of the bigger driveway layouts in the community. PLUS getting whatever car is parked in the right side of the 2 car garage is sometimes a pita because my giant ass truck blocks a good chunk of driveway.
Sometimes I end up taking a car I don't really feel like driving because it's in the right spot to get out easiest. |

That’s crazy! Probably a bit less likely in our wetter FL climate, but under no circumstances will i show this video to my wife...she will freak out and completely cut sweaters/gas stations/cars out of our lives

Additional #firstworldproblem : Doctor screwed up treating my back pain and I had to play Pebble Beach with a limp over the holidays. Couldn't friggin hit a fairway for crap. Been to 3 more PT appointments since. Cost me $0 but trading a bit of back pain for not being able to walk well / swing at all was NOT the outcome I was hoping for when I saw him the first time. |

I mean for fucks sake my maid Alexa will ONLY vacuum the WHOLE house when asked to vacuum. She REFUSES to vacuum only a specific room. But my current peasant status does not allow me to hire a better trained maid. |

However, when I go outside all I see is power lines and billboards. No Angel island or cool elevation changes. If I want to take a quick drive for 40 minutes I can go see a trashy beach with brown water. |
