I was able to get a quote for a 2022 BMW iX via Progressive which is close enough since I don't have the actual car yet.

Ironically, dropping my A4 and replacing it with the iX results in no change, about $600/every six months for both the X3 and iX.

Mine is due to arrive around February, I have the vin and prompted by this thread reached out for estimates. With high deductibles(1k) and good coverage (250/500), I got estimates from 4 providers from a low of $1325/year to a high of $3300 with my current provider coming in around $2500 even with the multiline discounts.

Morale of the story? Shop around for sure! My best bet is Travelers in my area, but I'm going to hit a few more of the top insurance providers before I determine who has the best value. Got quotes from State Farm, AAA, Travelers, and Electric Insurance Co. I Plan to hit up Amica, Progressive, and Geico before I decide who to go with.

For Geico, I'm still dealing with the fact that they identify my VIN as a BMW X5 instead of a BMW iX. The chat person told me:

"No worries, once this vehicle has been added to your policy we can submit a ticket with our IT team to have them go in and updated the model of the vehicle."

"Anytime you manually enter vehicle year, make vs model or provide the vin number, most likely the quoted premium will change. As long as the vin number is correct, that is the accurate premium."

So for $300K/$300K/$100K coverage for 6 months, I'm quoted $396.60 with the VIN as an X5, $371.80 just specifying the Year/Make/Model as an iX. For reference, my Model Y is $492.50 for 6 months, and Highlander is $208.10 for 6 months.

I have Geico and my VIN properly identified as a 2023 iX M60 in the app when I added to my policy.
