What is the discount off msrp for bmw i4

Hi,

Wanted to find out the current discount off MSRP for bmw i4. I’m seeing somewhere that it is up to 13 or 15%? Someone please let me know.

Also for a 10,000mile/yr bmw i4 xdrive lease, per Edmund, I see:

- $7,500 rebate, MF - 0.00050 , RV- 54%. Is this right? I know the new rates come out today. Any one for an update?

Thanks!

Couple of weeks ago got 13% off on an i4 M50, with a money factor around 1% which is really good in Texas. I used a lease broker, as terms I was getting told were worse, and was getting a lot of run around. It was much better to tell him what I wanted and he did all the calling an negotiating.

Nicely done! Was that on an in stock unit or a custom order to your specs?

Deal was for an in stock unit that was loaded. The deal was so good that I used the same lease broker again and have put in an order for an i5 M60 for a non-stock vehicle with another in state dealer.

This is the way. Once I started using a broker, I never looked back. Totally worth the $.

Only issue I am having is that for my i5 M60 the dealership didn’t have what I wanted, but were willing to give me the 13% off on an order car. The dealership put the order in the system, but doesn’t have an allocation. Has anyone had that issue? My broker has done a lot of deals through this dealership so he said to give it a week to see if they are able to get an allocation.

This is why I don't really do orders without an allocation or without my dealer agreeing to get one. You can't lock in the lease program unless you have an allocation.

Thanks!

The way this is worded makes it sound like it's a given.

I would say 10-12% is a good deal on any i4.

There are some out there who have done more on a one-off basis, or from dealers who just want to clear inventory and move on.

Some have marked up rates, high doc fees and add-ons, etc, but if you can get the equivalent of 10-12% with no rate markup and reasonable fees, that's solid.

Your point is well take re offering 13% upfront and then backdooring a bunch of fees. I live 5 hours from the dealership that I was picking up from and was concerned about just that. I asked for a “buyers order”with all fees on it in an attempt to make sure that did not happen. I wasn’t too sure if my in state dealer would try something slick, being my lease broker was from California and this was his first deal with this dealership. They actually we’re pretty indignant about the deal saying multiple times how little money there was in it for them. I will give them credit they were true to their word, gave me the full discount off msrp, all incentives and low money factor without any surprise fees on the back end. The result of this was when I went back to them for an order i5 M60 they would not play ball, and we had to get same deal from another dealer. I did go back to my same lease broker though.

That’s a good point. My lease broker has used this dealer multiple times and is comfortable about them, he has been doing the leg work for me and pushing them to either get an allocation from another dealer or pick up I guess what they call a category 5 car, which is a car available to pick-up. I am going two weeks, and I have seen other report similar wait times for an allocation. Weirdly I haven’t seen anyone reporting an i5 M60 allocation in the last couple of weeks since the March production change.

There's plenty of them up for grabs, not sure what the issue would be. I could easily order one with an allocation tomorrow.

That's interesting. Is it region-specific? I am in Texas. The dealer we used is a high-volume one, and we still haven't gotten an order number since the 4th. Though I have been asking online and have not been able to get anyone else from Texas or California to report they have been able to get an order for an i5 M60 in that time. If you know otherwise, please share.

Well, I did one last week for a customer, so...

Was it a 111 or 112 status that you modified or a open allocation? You are in the Northeast region correct?

I work in all regions. I don't recall, my dealer did it, but it was no problem at all, they got one literally same day for my customer.

It’s really interesting if you do a quick check on Autotrader for i5 search nationwide. A bunch are now showing up with 2026 VIN in production or in transit. All are i5 e40s, not one M60.
