BMW test drives the cars a few miles/ kms at the factory. If something isnt entirely correct, they correct it and drive it, again.

How would you know? Even if it were so and they tested my car at least twice as hard as the others' and fixed a lot I wouldn't be happy about it. I'd rather like them to assemble the car properly at once, especially as they can do it, reportedly.

Of course they don't test drive. A new car needs a run-in, they say. Some gentle driving can be done for transportation purposes (according to factory videos) but that's just a bit. I know engines are (can be?) tested on a stand before installation (connection to an odometer ) though.

I don't trust a dealer to do that. When I saw the car with 2.5 km in the dealer's showroom it was clean, etc. Ready to be received. They take liberties.

at 54:00 and again at 58:00 all the way through 1:01. They even accelerate after the 1:00:00 hour mark.

"Shit happens", they say: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1762670. Stand quality check testing in the factory is fine, but leisure driving to the far left looks "pretty" doubtful. What's that? Is it every car indeed? They take no obligations regarding initial mileage but the "lottery ticket" is quite expensive. I'd like to have no doubts for the money (in the positive sense).

But do they drive all cars on the road? It looks quite lonely out there.
