I see a lot of Z32 300ZX in the greenhouse.
Still not sure it's performance will justify the cost. Maybe the butterfly doors will? (did they retain the prototype's doors?)

Could it really be a BMW if it didn't?

Actually the i8 is very fast especially from standing still as this video shows.
The key to its stance as a progressive sports car is its weight reduction and futuristic aerodynamics makes the car agile , fast and very communicative in its steering and dynamics. The car is also lower than the Audi R8. Regarding halo car: i8. It's green, it's exotic, it's futuristic, its aerodynamic , it's sporty, it's sustainable. What else BMW needs? I don't think so.

That. Looks. Incredible. Make it happen BMW, make it happen. If Audi has the R8, and Mercedes has the SLS, why doesn't BMW, which is considered the "sporty" one out of the Big (German) Three, not have a flagship supercar? The M6 is incredible, but it isn't of supercar level if I'm honest. I respect that BMW is broadening its horizons with the new "i" sub-brand, and although many don't like the i3, it is a pretty good city car, it's not supposed to be any M3. However, what ever happened to this? Where is BMW's M Division when we need it most? BMW created a V12 that was used in a car that held the record for the "Fastest Production Automobile" for a whole decade, and now the best you can come up with is a tuned version of the N63 in a 550 for an M5? C'mon guys, you give the environmentalists a car (or series in fact), give the car enthusiasts a proper machine.
