Of course, BMW nailed the Electromatic car thing - I'm not big on electric cars, but it makes sense - I would still keep my E92 M3, E90 335i, E90 335Xi, my very old GX 470, and newer GX460 though. But the torque thing sounds intriguing - and with the cost of gas these days, I'd love to have this car in my garage for work commutes, which are only once per week, but 45 min. each way. Try to score some 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels (and center hub caps) from the BMW dealer. They might have a bucket full or you can order them soon (June 2022).
Back when the 2008-2013 E9X M3s where available, the hit colors where Lemans Blue, Interlagos Blue, and Space Gray. I have an Interlagos Ble M3, but LeMans Blue is right up there. The Fox Red leather interior was the best combo. The only better BMW Blues to top them are San Marino Blue and Velvet Blue available on the F8X M3/M4...with Atlantis Blue another winner. I got mine back in April and even now that instant torque gives me the giggles. I had a couple of bikes behind me in town and you just knew their intent, well as we approached the national speed limit sign at about 28mph I floored it, doesn’t matter what’s behind you if you catch them off guard you are gone. LOL
I did stop at 60mph BTW in case anyone was wondering and the two bikers went zooming past but it was fun and I’m sure a shock to their system when it happened. |

I love that color. I seriously considered ordering my G80 in that blue. My favorite color on the M5, just couldn't justify the custom paint price.

I did a test drive of the i4 M50 at the Circuit of the America's down in Austin on Friday. Handled well in the auto cross…..
Looks like I just found my next car. I need a bit more range to give up my M440. |
