Had the same issues, BMW replaced the blades under warranty and all was good for a few months. Now the smear is back.

The dirt cheap blades from Amazon work great. My wife installed them for me, even better!

I flipped my driver-side blade as it was causing a strange hexagonal ghost pattern to appear on my glass. It rained yesterday and the reversal worked great. The best part was no more residue. Glass cleaner took that right off!

I still either need to flip mine or order those amazon cheapies. I'm starting to get some streaking when I use the washer and the rain + dust as of late means I otherwise have to just wipe my car down in the garage every time.

When you flip, remember that removing the blade is infinitely easier than pushing it back again! lol
