Because of thick CF tub, it's not as easy to get in. I didn't have problems getting in but it's definitely not for people that have back problems.

I seriously have to agree.
Not enough CCS chargers in the US for me to have ever considered one. And over the last 5 plus years there is still little effort to seriously grow the CCS network.

Exactly, and as no electric car is good enough to be an only car for me, why get anything like a Tesla and another car, get an easy to park i3 and an M car.

I will add that although it came down to a financial decision, the i3 is an excellent little thing and has really grown on me. CFRP construction is cool, bicycle-like U-turns are cool too. Pretty roomy and the connected app is useful. The performance numbers feel somewhat misleading to me, as this piggy is a real weapon from 5-55. It’s not in the same league as a Tesla but quick enough to dust most cars that aren’t modern and turbocharged. There’s no denying it’s ugly. The i3S goes some way to make it look less goofy, and black helps to hide some of the flaws... but yeah it is what it is |

My friend had one in Chicago and he loved it. It's great specially in crowded cities. But the only thing is that the driving range shd be longer on these cars. |

Despite a lackluster 0-60, the i3 is the best non AWD economic electric car on the road as far as driving dynamics. Not because it turns well... it turns okay, it's that it's RWD. I can't stand driving FWD EVs. They just feel horrible. All that torque on a FWD just ends in boner killing wheel spin.

The build quality is on a too low level. There was a car review of the Tesla Model 3 where the water came in through the doors during a car wash, the water came in the trunk during rain, among other basic things that went wrong. The ergonomics aren't great either. Tesla basically just get too many basic things wrong, BMW doesn't.

I saw it first hand when my friend took delivery. But all I'm saying is from performance perspective...BMW can easily outperform that. |
