Someone posted on another thread that the logos are blacked out, including in the interior, until the official NA launch date of March 19.

Our demo iX had Black Perforated SensaTec seats. I must admit my wife and I were impressed. They felt like real leather and were very comfortable. I've never owned a vehicle with SensaTec so I wonder how well it holds up. Is it easy to clean? Do you use leather cleaners and conditioners?

In the US I didn't really see a specification for the leather used in the iX50, other than "perforated" and "natural" (and I'm unaware of any unnatural leather). The seats seemed as soft as my X5 full Merino leather though, and definitely softer than the Nappa leather or Vernasca in previous X5s I've owned, and it didn't appear to be coated. The only choices I saw on the Cofigurator were Sensatec, Cloth and Perforated Leather, without any other descriptors.

I had Vernasca in my 650i and full Nappa in the X5, and the leather in the iX is miles ahead of either.

Interestingly, same code for the leather seats between the M60 and the 50. They also have a different code and are charging more for the Driver Assistant Pro option ($200) in the M60. I'm guessing...because they can?

Interesting. Are you certain that's for Driver Assistant and not Parking Assistant? Prior to March 2022 Parking Assistant Plus was available on the IX, but now Parking Assistant Pro can be added, for an additional fee. So far as I am aware there have been no changes made to the Driver Assistant option.

The confusion may be in the combined option (ZDY) titled "Driving Assistance Professional Package." The Configurator for the iX50 lists the Active Driving Assistant Pro option as $1,700 (5AU), however the Parking Assistant Plus (5DN) feature is part of the Premium Package ($4,000). So I suppose in the confusion you could interpret that as meaning the Parking Assistant Professional/Plus Option (not sure about the difference in those either) costs $200, although not available as a standalone (added to the Driving Assistance Professional Package in ZDY for the M60 or the Premium Package in the iX50). That's exactly what I was initially thinking about when I saw the different description of the pano-roof - LOL!

What I really need to see is whether I personally like this car in lighter colors or darker. And the Storm Bay is the real wild card to me. Seems like such a dynamic color to me- seemingly different personality in different lighting conditions The sensatec felt great to me. I’d like to see how the amido treatment feels around the door trim, dash etc. if at all different |

I’m not someone that needs the differentiation so I can scream “I have the m60!” but rather was hoping they’d have some tricks in the bag to make it unique and more “M” but guess that’s not in the cards

I flip-flopped too lol. Originally wanted Sophisto Grey, then considered Storm Bay before deciding on Mineral White Metallic

I was on the fence between the Sophisto/DGM and the Phytonic Blue but my wife strongly prefers the PB so there you have it. Going with black Sensatec and the black exterior trim plus 22" wheels. At least for now - my build was going to be May, don't know if it will be pushed back or by how much due to supply chain issues.
